About Chopta Tungnath

Located in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, Chopta is a serene and picturesque hill station often referred to as the “Mini Switzerland of India.” Surrounded by lush meadows, dense forests of pine and deodar, and panoramic views of Himalayan peaks like Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Chaukhamba, Chopta is a nature lover’s paradise. Its peaceful environment and rich biodiversity make it an ideal destination for trekking, camping, and bird watching. The highlight of Chopta is the trek to Tungnath, the highest Shiva temple in the world, perched at an altitude of 3,680 meters. The 3.5 km trek from Chopta to Tungnath is relatively easy and offers breathtaking views at every turn. For those seeking more adventure, the trail continues another 1.5 km to Chandrashila Peak, which provides a 360-degree view of the majestic Himalayan range.

Assemble at boarding point in Delhi - Akshardham Metro Station and meet your Trip Captain.
Start an overnight journey to Chopta and socialize with your co-travellers.

1Day

Devprayag Sangam | Chopta arrival

Enroute Chopta, we will take a pit stop at Devprayag in early morning to witness the beautiful confluence of Bhagirathi & Alaknanda rivers ultimately becoming Ganga river.
Further we will take a halt around Rudraprayag to grab a satisfying breakfast and continue our journey towards Chopta.
After arriving in Chopta Valley, check-in to our campsite/homestay, freshen-up and have some leisure.
Go for a forest walk and absorb in the charming Himalayan beauty.
In the evening, enjoy warm bonfire and mouth-watering snacks under a million stars.
Savour home-style cooked dinner and overnight stay in camps/homestay.

2Day

Trek to Chandrashila via Tungnath mahadev Temple

Wake up early to witness the beautiful sunrise and post breakfast, drive to the starting point of our trek.
Begin your trek to Tungnath - one of the Panch Kedar and World’s highest temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.
Trek further to magnificent Chandrashila Peak situated at 13,000 ft (if weather & conditions permits) and gather for an #InstaPerfect group picture.
Trek back to Chopta village and drive back to our property and have some leisure.
Savour home-style cooked dinner and overnight stay in a camps/homestay.

3Day

Trek to Deoriatal | Depart for Delhi via Rishikesh

Wake up to a peaceful mountain morning and post breakfast, check out from the property and drive to Sari Village.
Begin your trek to mesmerising Deoriatal Lake. Trek down to Sari village and post lunch start-off your return journey to Delhi.
Take a halt at Rishikesh in the night to explore the local market, go for cafe hopping, visit temples and serene Ganga ghats (if time permits).

Had a recent trip with trip on trail and believe me it was one of my best trip. The trip to Manali - Kasol - Kheerganga was very well executed and we had too much fun during the trip. The stays were cool and the trip was supercool. Our trip leader Faisal and Ezhan were also very amazing persons and made our trip too convenient and amazing through their experience. I believe everyone should try this underrated company as they didn’t get many reviews till yet but they have a great potential to become a large company soon.
